THE ULYSSES CLUB OF NEW ZEALAND INC.
CANTErBURY BRANCH
The Ulysses Club of New Zealand is a social club with an emphasis on motorcycles. Membership is open to those aged over forty with associate membership available to those under forty. The Canterbury branch is based in Christchurch and covers the greater Canterbury area from Kaikoura in the north, the Rangitata River in the south and inland to the Southern Alps.
Regular Branch Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of the month at the Papanui RSA, 7.00pm – 9.00pm, everyone is welcome.
Branch rides are held most Sundays throughout the year. Day time mid-week rides, to destinations within a few hours riding, are also on offer. Everyone’s welcome to join these rides.
Occasionally overnight rides to venues throughout the South Island are organised.
All of these rides are advertised in the Events Calendar on this site, on Facebook, and in our monthly Newsletters.
There’s also a new bi-monthly update with links to various rides and events – have a look at The Good Oil in our Newsletters section.
Our three major events during the year are the Anzac Day St John Ambulance fund raiser, held on the 25th of April 2021, the 1000Km Longest Day ride in November, and our Helicopter Hunt ride (Nov 2020 – March 2021).

Notices of major upcoming events are also posted on the National Web site. If you’re interested in joining the club please feel free to come to our monthly meetings, or join in our rides, and get to know us, or just call one of the Committee members.

About The Ulysses Club NZ
The Ulysses Club of NZ Inc. for older motorcyclists – one of the largest organisations of its kind in New Zealand – is now a familiar part of this country’s riding scene. All of our branches hold regular rides and social get togethers, for more information on events in your region go to the Branches page and either click on the link to your local branch website, or email or telephone the branch contact for more information. Usually they will be able to provide you with a runs list so you can go along.
You will find we are a friendly bunch and while we are a club for motorcyclists over 40, the emphasis is more on the social side of motorcycling. Spouses and partners are encouraged to take part in our events.
